This feature allows you to personalize your land plots on the SmartPlaces map. For example, if you own the land plot where the famous Alexanderplatz in Berlin is located, you can customize it by uploading an image of the area, adding a short description, and including relevant tags. To provide a more detailed description of a specific landmark on your land plot (such as the TV Tower on Alexanderplatz), you should use our Point of Interest (POI) feature.
To customize your land plot(s) on the map, click on ‘My Land Plots’ under the section ‘Explore’ in the top menu on the left.
A new window will appear with an overview of your purchased land plots. If you have not purchased and linked any land plots to your account yet, no land plots will be displayed.
Once you have purchased your first land plot, it will appear in the ‘My Land Plots’ section.
You can filter your land plots by the blockchain on which they were minted. To do so, click on the filter icon and select your preferred blockchain. Currently, Cardano and Solana are available.
Each land plot has a specific ID that makes it unique. In this section, you will also find a search bar that you can use if you have purchased multiple land plots and want to look up a specific one. You can enter either the address or the land plot ID you are looking for. Below, you will see the location where you bought your land plot – in this example, Berlin. If you click the arrow next to Berlin, a menu will pop up showing all the land plots you own in that location, along with their IDs and the icon of the blockchain on which the land plots were minted (in this case, Cardano).
If you have land plots that have not yet been transferred to your non-custodial wallet, you will see the message: ‘You currently have custodial land plots. Please claim them here.’ This indicates that the plots are still stored in your custodial wallet.
If you click on the green button with the pencil next to the land plot ID, a new window will appear.
In the ‘Info’ tab, you will see an overview of your (customized) land plot on the SmartPlaces map, as well as your (customized) NFT land plot on the corresponding blockchain. Clicking the arrows on the right opens a menu with more information. To learn how to edit your NFT land plot, see the next section: ‘How to upgrade your land plot NFT’.
When you click the purple ‘Edit’ button under ‘Land Plot MAP’, a new window will open where you can customize your land plot on the map. Alternatively, you can click on ‘Description’ next to the ‘Info’ tab.
To customize your land plot, you can upload an image (PNG, JPG, JPEG, max. 2 MB), change the title, add tags, and enter a description (up to 2,048 characters).
After saving your changes, click the ‘Info’ tab to view a quick overview of your customization. Additionally, the newly chosen title of your land plot (‘Alexanderplatz’ in our example) will now appear in the left-hand menu instead of the land plot ID.
Please note: This means that your land plot customization will be publicly visible to all users on the SmartPlaces platform.
When you click the ‘POI’ tab in the menu bar, you will see all Points of Interest (POIs) currently located on your land plot, regardless of whether they were created by you or by other SmartPlaces users. In our example, there are currently two POIs on the Alexanderplatz land plot: the TV Tower and the Body Worlds Museum.
Clicking the arrow on the right opens a menu with more information about the selected POI. Selecting the green arrow redirects you directly to the land plot where the POI is located.
As you can see in the menu bar, we will be rolling out more features for your land plots in the coming weeks and months.
