This section allows you to manage your crypto wallets. To store your purchased land plots directly in your wallet, you must synchronize a wallet. There are two ways to do this: either using a browser extension wallet or a hardware wallet/cold wallet. A wallet extension is a web browser extension that seamlessly and securely connects your crypto wallet to SmartPlaces. You currently have the option to connect wallets from Cardano and Solana, with more blockchains to follow in the future.
First, choose the blockchain you want to connect your wallet from. Currently, you can select either Cardano or Solana.
Next, connect your wallets to automatically sync land plots with your account.
Cardano Wallets
Click on ‘Select provider to connect your browser extension wallet’ and choose from seven different providers for Cardano: Nami, Gerowallet, Yoroi, Eternl, Flint, Thyphoon, and Begin.
Select a provider and click ‘Install’. A new page will open in your web browser where you can add the browser extension. For example, if you choose the Eternl web browser extension in Google Chrome, a green ‘Connect’ button will appear. Click on the ‘Connect’ button and log in to your Eternl account. Please note: Your web browser settings may block Eternl’s popup. You can adjust this in your cookie settings. Your Eternl wallet is now synchronized and linked to your SmartPlaces account.
You can change the name of the wallet at any time, as well as remove connected wallets, and add new ones.
Solana Wallets
Click on ‘Connect wallet’ and follow the instructions to sync a Solana wallet. Just like with a Cardano wallet, you first need to download a browser extension for a Solana wallet.
Click on ‘Select provider to connect your browser extension wallet’ and choose from five different providers for Solana: Solflare, Phantom, Backpack, Glow, and Exodus.
Select a provider and click ‘Install’. A new page will open in your web browser where you can add the browser extension. For example, if you choose the Solflare web browser extension in Google Chrome, a green ‘Connect’ button will appear. Click on the ‘Connect’ button and log in to your Solflare account. Your Solflare wallet is now synchronized and linked to your SmartPlaces account.
You can change the name of the wallet at any time, as well as remove connected wallets, and add new ones.
Hardware/Cold Wallets
To link a hardware or cold wallet to your SmartPlaces account, click on ‘Connect hardware or cold wallet using a transaction’.
Next, enter the address of the wallet you want to connect to your account and click ‘Continue’. The address you need to enter begins with ‘stake’ and is your stake address. Example: stake1u92mffu5sj4nnxm7gtqa4xgpxd4zgkjg4xqg3axpvcmczeq57gxkz
In order to verify ownership of your wallet address, a transaction payment of a small amount of ADA is required. You need to transfer the exact amount stated (‘Exact ADA to transfer’) to the specified ‘Receiving address’. After completing the transfer within 24 hours, you can paste the transaction hash from your payment into the form below (‘txHash’) and click ‘Verify’. The required transaction hash, also known as a transaction ID, will look similar to this: 3947f8216288467c7d448479b20cf1c8dc38b45b7c3bdd8ab5623454dfe19140
Your hardware or cold wallet is now synchronized and linked to your SmartPlaces account. Please ensure that you send the funds in a simple transaction. Use only the wallet you want to connect as the sender and only the receiving address as the recipient.
Custodial Land Plots
You can set a default recipient address for purchasing land plots. Your purchased land plots will then be directly saved as NFTs in your chosen crypto wallet. Click on ‘Set default recipient address’ and either enter your wallet address or click on ‘Select provider to get recipient address’ to connect to your chosen provider (Eternl in our example). Once the wallet address is entered, click ‘Update’. Your land plots will now be automatically saved in your wallet.
If you have purchased land plots, but have not yet set a default recipient address, your land plots will initially be stored in a ‘custodial wallet’ in your SmartPlaces account. If you want to save these land plots in your crypto wallet afterwards, you can do this under the section ‘Transfer Custodial Land Plots’.
To perform this action, select the wallet where you want to store your land plots and follow the instructions.
